BEGINNING TODAY

Psalm 118:24 This is the day which the LORD hath made;

we will rejoice and be glad in it. 

Happy New Year!!

You have made it through.  You overcame some obstacles that you thought were impossible.  Now leave the past behind you.  Selah.  Stop, breath, exhale.  This is the year for God's people to rise up and claim what is rightfully theirs.  God says in His word to forget the former things, neither consider the things of old.  He wants you to forget what they did to you.  It’s a new year, time to forget the former pain.
 

It’s time to forget all the slander of their cruel word.
It’s time to forget every hurtful word you heard
It’s time to forget the people who that brought tears to your eyes
It’s time to forget about the ones who passed you by.
It’s time to forget the hurt and pain you suffered in silence
It’s time to forget those who walked away from your side.
And it’s time to REMEMBER Jesus.
Yes, remember Jesus, the One who for your sins He died.

Therefore, beginning today, I will no longer worry about yesterday.  It is in the past and the past will never change, so I refuse to live a life dwelling on what could have been and missing the great things God has planned for me. 

Beginning today, I walk with renewed faith in the Lord.  Regardless of what has happened,  I believe there is hope for a brighter and better future, because God has  plans for me and they provide hope and a prosperous future.

Beginning today, I will no longer worry about tomorrow.  Tomorrow will always be there, waiting for me to make the most of it.  But I cannot make the most of tomorrow without first making the most of today. 

Beginning today, I will look in the mirror and I will see a person worthy of my respect and admiration, because I was fearfully and wonderfully made by the Lord.  Therefore, I will I enjoy spending time with myself and appreciating who God created me to be.

Beginning today, I will cherish each moment of my life, because everyday is a gift from the Lord.   I will value this gift and I will unselfishly share this gift with others. 

Beginning today, I will face challenges with courage and determination.  I will overcome what barriers that try to hinder my quest to succeed, for greater is He that is when me than he that is in the world.

Beginning today, I will take life one day at a time, one-step at a time.  Discouragement will not be allowed to taint my positive self-image, because the Lord didn't give me a spirit of fear; but of power love and a sound mind.  

Beginning today, I will open my mind and my heart.  I will welcome new experiences.  I will ask the Lord to bring new anointed relationships in my life.  And if I choose to walk alone, the Lord will help me realize it’s better to be alone than to be in the wrong company.

Beginning today I am responsible for my own happiness and I will do things that are pleasing unto the Lord and I know I will be happy; because my happiness is found in the Lord not in others and what they can do for me.

Beginning today, I will learn something new; I will try something different; I will savor all the various flavors life has to offer.  I will change what the Lord allows me to change, and the rest I will let go and trust the God knows what is best for me.

Beginning today, and every day I will trust in the Lord and remember this is the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad, and realize God's mercy and grace have blessed me to see this new day.

Mat.  6:34  Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
